The 4 places you'll get "Fernweh" for

Hello, Hallo, Hola.

Fernweh is German word without a translation. It means "being homesick for a place you have never been to". The following list are the places I have Fernweh for. Some are places I will currently visit others are only dreams which may become reality.

This is city is not so far from where I am and the longer I wait to go there the more I hear about it. People tell me it's a wonderful city full of young people. It not the capital but "it's so much better". This is a city full of life and is more international then its' surroundings. I am intrigued.

Known for Tomatina the festival of the tomato where you have a tomato fight. Valencia is a beautiful city at the sea. The home of Ciudad de las artes y las ciencias/ the city of art and science a museum that is an architectural wonder. The pictures are fascinating and in December I will see it with my own eyes (Of coarse I will update you on that ;) )

This one is the odd one out. I have been to Amsterdam before and I LOVED it. This city has more bikes then people and travelling by boat is preferred then by car. Amsterdam has everything form history to beautiful buildings. There is so much life in this city that it's never the same. It leaves you with a lasting impression you can't wait to visit again. I plan to go with a friend next year.

This is a city I could of visited living in Germany but I haven't. However whenever seeing this city in movies I ask myself why I haven't all ready. For 2016 my goal is to visit Berlin. I want to explore Nikolaiviertel and see the Hackesche Höfe. Shop in the flea markets during the day and dance throughout the night.

What places give you Fernweh tell me in the comments.

There is no place like home the ant said to the bird.

See you next week. Bis nächste Woche. Hasta siguiente semana.
